Guys:

Curious to see what your volt meter reads while running at cruise speeds. Since day 1 my voltage has gone down to as low at 13.3 while running at 1800 rpm. Drop back down to idle and voltage goes back up to 13.6 to 13.8. Local mechanics say its normal. Never had any issues. Batteries are deka dominators (gel) and alternator is 105 amp +\- on a cat c12.

Anywhere from 13.1 to 14.1 normal. Usually about 13.5. Voltage regulater controls voltage. If batteries are satisfied alternator output will be less.
Normal standing battery voltage is 12.6.

hmmm, ive been thinking about this also. i installed a qsm11 last spring and it has a little computer screen and says anywhere from 13.1 to 13.9 but i have 2 hondex plotters and thos are usually both .2 to .5 higher. no problems just kinda makes me wonder and i seem to have best voltage at idle

You guys are looking at your digital gauges way too close. You would never have noted this with an analog gauge. You are fine, go fishing.....
