Bringing up a thread that's about 10 months old. This fall I will be starting production on a new outboard powered 25'-28' downeast hull and will be building a west coast style enclosed pilot house on it. Boat will have Diamond SeaGlaze windows and door, outboard bracket that is full flotation, will be a rugged little offshore boat. Here is a drawing using the 26' Duffy hull. Still haven't decided on the hull, but will be a 26 Duffy, 26 Lowell, or a 25 Webber's Cove.

does the west coast "brim" on the cabin top serve any purpose besides looks. Storage? looks good.

Bill- what are the specs on the Coosa you are using? 20 or 26? 1/2" thick? That's a good design you have going there.
Brian yes it’s the carbon core coosa I think it’s 25 or 26lbs. Just 1/2” with a 1708 on either side and taped corners I think will be fine. Going with a 3/4” scribed nida roof. Trying out this peel ply. I’m gonna try to pull off this Novi visor

I think it’s just for looks for me. I suppose you could make any crowned look you wanted with it.

I like a 24 degree forward rake on this particular hull...this is an old sketch powderpro did...I just figured the rake [email protected], I agree with "too flat "...I feel from the center point of the 2 windows where they come together, the outside window edge should be pulled aft to follow the approximate curvature of the roof line forward....creates a compound angle, but IMHO looks better...3 windows,,same thing, flankers pulled aft to follow roof line curvature...Jmho
