Old Mud, an older friend of mine once told me We are only caretakers of the stuff we collect until it is someone else's turn. I like being surrounded by all things nautical ! Take CareWow you got all good stuff. Like the Mark ? 7 1/2 and i see a 1952 ? Evinrude. 3 hp. A Seagull 5 ? And that drill press. Not to mention that boom criple and the companionway cover for the Manger Cat. Oh and the bag of shot !!
I don't mean the drill press on your bench.
Sad to say Old Mud that old friend and mentor has been gone for awhile now. At almost sixty I am getting to be one of the older guys.Ah ha, your friend speaks words of truth. I so believe this that for the last few years i have been giving away much of what i hold. You are also lucky to have an older friend. All my friends now are younger, the older ones have all died. .
Yeah my wife wanted a wrangler. Not to offend anyone but I replied, “Every douche bag has one of those let’s get something cool.” The next day I found this on Craigslist. I had my buddy pull the body repaint, rewire, tune the engine. I then added the rims/tires. The wife now wants to sell it because it takes up space. So now I need to find a house with a barn or place for a barn or big shop so I don’t have to sell it.Buggies used to be fairly common in the summer...rare to one around me now. Nice simple summer fun.
