Depends on the engine and the layup nearly as much as what's on it.

If you plan on dropping 1000+ ponies in it, it really doesn't matter.
If you want to stick around 218 hp though...

Those two already listed are at the top of my list

'Ol Chamy was on Wicked Tuna? Musta missed that one.

Seriously, this boat's changed hands 3 times over the past 4-5 yrs. Was built as a stickboat by a very good fisherman on the Cape. Always very well maintained and clean.

Is the NB 28 a skeg or built down hull ?

Also what are the hull dimensions?

To me the NB always looks small compared to other 28s?
Bill,i believe that the NB28..is the old Wayne Beal 28 Designed by his brother Calvin...28x10.4 and it is a skeg boat

Nice Blitzen. What are you and Connie getting for a cruise speeds and GPH?

I could cruise easy at 18kts at 5gph in moderate seas, most of the time I ran at 20kts at 6.5-7.0gph, and on a very nice day 24kts at 10-12gph.

18.5 kts/2900 seems to be her sweet spot maybe 9gph. Ran her home last April from Merrimack River (177nm) in 11hours and 76 gallons.Ran lite and Had tide with me threw the canal and buzzards.
