What are you guys running for "2nd non DE boats" ? 20-23 ft range with outboard/s ??

Pounds. How hard it pounds depends on how fast you're going. But I'm comparing that to a downeast though. I haven't run a comparable boat in a head sea in a long long time.

Yeah I’ve heard that about the Steigers. They’re a great looking functional boat but the ride is ruff

A homemade 20 ft skiff with 60 HP my son and I built - with trim tabs. Scoots right along. We use it in FL on the lakes and in NH/VT on the lakes/rivers.

the old Whaler outrage hulls take a chop better than the new ones.
