On side of my skeg forward looks like there was one on each side. Nothing connected to the bolts on the inside. I'm thinking old ground or bonding system of some sort. I feel like a fool but I gotta ask. Here are pictures

Grounding plates used to be necessary for adequate loran performance. I think the are also needed for a single side band.

Better said than not, but just a heads up especially for those of us who use the dynaplate for the zapper ground, My bronze or whatever alloy they use to bolt it in was so electrolyzed that it fell out when I checked it with my hand. looked good above and below but in between was nothing and it was about 8yrs old.
