Need to purchase heater to winterize boat at Marina. Will be using 30 amp shore power. Have been reading about dangers of unattended electric heaters. I am looking at EdenPure 1000 Quartz. What do you guys use? The boat will be checked on daily but unattended at night . Is this a safe way to insure boat doesn't freeze ? I don't want to use propane or wood What are my options ?
Thanks

How cold does it get ? Do you use the boat thru the winter. How about a block heater on a timer/thermostat ? I don't use my boat all winter, its on the trailer by my shop, no heat or block heater just winterize my engine & its gets to 40 below zero here.

My friend has an engine heater that runs on diesel. He programs the control unit to have the engine at 180 degrees by the time he get to the boat in the winter. Steps on the boat engine starts easier than in the summer and the defrost works right away.

Pretty mild winters here ! This is my first winter, with the boat, that is!. I expect that I won't be using it but it will be in the water at the marina. I have looked at the West Marine heater !
Thanks

If you are just looking to keep the frost off the engines, go with the woolverine engine heaters. Very easy to install and super safe. Lots of different sizes and outputs to cover most any need. I have run them on last couple of boats without issues and they keep the engines more than warm enough.

Then use any type of portable heater to warm the other boat spaces while aboard and turn that off when you leave.
