Whats the best hatches (bow)

I just took off a crumbled bomar from the bow. So whats the best or are they all junk ? bomar,vetus lewmar...etc ??

You know, those older Bertrams (I owned a 1977 28 FBC for 17 years) were pretty good for a mass produced boat !!

Yeah they are not to bad, based where i am we are littered with luhrs and silverton.

i have the one pc aluminum Bomars....nothing to crumble....

Iam sorry i misunderstood....i bought a few used Bomar 190 cast alum hatches...and they had poly carb in them.... but i took one to a local auto glass shop and had them rebed with safety glass

they have plastic in them and they are crazed but you can still jump on them and they are 12 years old 8 of which were in the tropics.
i should add that you only see the crazing from below looking into the bright sunlight

MDI45, that's pretty slick...I think before I replace that hatch, I will try to get away with rebedding the glass

YANMAR, there are plenty of excuses being made in the US, that's for sure
