No, seriously, I was curious what was meant about the difference in engines - just that one is a relatively stone-age slobbering loud smoky fuel-drinking beast that will likely run forever on very little money and the other is a modern engineering marvel that’s easy to live with but at great monetary cost? Or what?

Also seriously, I would guess that any political port list someone may have is probably in the minority here, but most of us would otherwise like each other a lot so we should just shut up and vote the way we want when the time comes. No need to be in each others’ faces about it that I can see.

(And yes, I totally get the humor in the original statement. Just stirring shit for fun. I’ve heard people do that here.)

If you want to fundamentaly change America, if you want to take away our sovereignty, our culture, our freedoms, if you want federalized elections and zero transparancy in government, if you believe in CRT, socialism, and open boarders, if you are in favor of defunding police and are soft on criminals then i see every reason to get in your face. That is not America and not what our forefathers had in mind. If people dont like this country then get the fuck out and stay out. Im not looking the other way.

That’s pretty much it. Frustrates me that we aren’t giving the industry more of a chance to develop lower emission diesel engines.

I have nothing against the product…generally. Just how it’s supported in my area. Which in fact seems to be improving since the Power Products rep visited me this summer.
I think some people confuse my favor for Scania as favor for Jay. That is not the case. My favor for Scania, Yanmar, and others are how well they are supported. In my area (Southern Maine/Casco bay) it would be hard to find better customer support than Mack Boring.

We put a Yanmar in our Cape Dory 28 last year.
I had reached out to Jay for some specific info since our repower was going to be a tight fit.
He always responded and usually within an hour, one time he needed to call NJ for specifics, all the info came in same day. And right on the money accurate!
I bought one engine and he treated us like we were a yard buying 7-8 a year.
Same service and cheer after we finished the work too, even sent schwag which the wife loved.
A LOT of businesses could benefit to his approach to customer service.
