Any good old Yankee tricks to keep the mold down in a wrapped boat, besides the usual moisture absorbers?

Make sure you have plenty of airflow. I always opened all hatches in the cabin, and opened the windows a little.

I've never had a problem.

Not sure mold like's below freezing temps !! :D

Really ? I've never owned a boat that I didn't have to spend an extra day come spring scrubbing the black dots of the inner walls , lockers, drawers, etc. even with good air flow.
Don't believe it's the freezing nights but mor the random 40 degree days.

Was just wondering if its worth the time to fill up a bunch of pails of rice or something and leave in the cabin?

Just a thought

In the boat and in the RV We would clean everything, turn up all cusions, open all cabintets, fridge and stuff. I would also place a few damp rid buckets in any lower airflow spaces. adding vents if you shrink wrap couldnt hurt I guess. Never had a boat wrapped

Thanks , I always do the basics.
Crazy a bit off topic story,
I know of a guy who bought a boat that was stored for many years. Sounds insane , but the owner pumped it full of some kind of absorbing pellets. Must of been big money and it was a bitch to clean.
It reminded me of one of a myth busters episodes. Insane
I will say it was a new boat when stored and still had that new boat smell 5 yrs later.

Interesting, thanks first team. That does seem like a sore elbow and a 30 pack day thoe. I'll pick some up anyway.

Not to go off topic but love the taste of those 30pak's when you first go down to the boat in March.... :)

Spray the fiberglass surfaces down with some spray 9. It was some bleach in it. Gentle wipe it down leaving a little film on the surface. It is a great product to fight winter mold.
