Wiring for hauler

I have an electrodyne hauler for my skiff and I cheaped out and bought a Chinese one that fits the hauler but I’m wondering how to wire this up, can’t find anything online. Thanks for any help.

Put you wires on those two big terminals and see if it spins the right way, if not switch em.

Hmm that’s confusing lol. My electradyne just had two terminals on bottom. Yes they can spin both ways you just reverse the polarity.

Put negative to the case. Positive to the pole by itself and jumper from there to one of the other two that are near each other. Are there any letters stamped by the poles? I wrote this wrong. Put a jumper from the lone pole to one of the others and then power the the other one.

I have tied this and still was not able to get it to move.

If there are 3 posts, there are only 3 combinations to try. The third post can be figured out when you get some life out of it.

...this is a dc motor, right?

so, I just learned there is such a thing as a 3 phase dc motor....well, I don't think it's what you want if this is indeed what you have. It requires a driver to control the voltage to the three legs. You want a brushed DC motor. Do you have any ordering info on this? Or a tag on the motor we can look at?
