I'm not trying to derail any thread here but what gets me is how much it takes to push BHM's whether the 28 or 32 compared to other models. I saw and looked at the BHM28's and since fished on them too. Yes they are alot larger than my General Marine 26, but amazes me the difference in fuel and for the ride, I quite wonder. Although there is no substitute for displacement! On the GM26, I burnt an honest 4GPH at 16kts when everything was tweaked out and just a couple people fishing. Sure didn't have the deckspace but had a much nicer cabin, god you can stand up in it.
Had a chance to pull the trigger on a BHM 32 this past month and really thought long and hard and just isnt a nice hull to efficiently push through the water. Although the 32 is a great sea boat.
Granted I still ran mainly 4 person charters it was tight, 6 was interesting but again that isn't why I bought the boat. If it was just my family, would have to think really hard about what I gained.
