So wake down and light. Doesn't exactly make me think of a 32 BHM. I say that because I love the 32 BHM hull but aren't they a bit splashy in general for harpooning?

Yeah a bhm are not the best for it and I'm not talking boat wake I'm talking presher wake its the water the boat pushes ahead of it if I were to built a stick boat I'd build a 32 Holland of 33 flowers both great hulls for if low p wake and ez on the eyes

Have to agree with googin hater on the Flowers or holland. The holland 32's are super sneaky. Ive never been on a flowers but they look Really sneaky too.

look at what the best harpooners have used; I've seen more 32' Hollands and 35' Duffys than anything else. Although there were a few 30' Southshores on the Cape, I think only one is left. One 34' Southshore stuck as many fish as anyone for a period in the 90's. I'd think that the NBs and the newer Flower designs would make good stick boats as they are not as wide as the newer Beal boats and they have a shallower forefoot. Googinhater is righ thought, its all in how much noise the boat makes on the approach.

A lot of it is in how the boat is constructed and finished. You want quiet, quiet, quiet. Anything you can do to keep the engine and hull noise/vibration down to an absolute minimum. Lots of boats built for the sole purpose of harpooning have absolutely nothing down below--maybe a V berth forward, but that's it.

There were a few Gas stick boats for sale on the cheap kicking around for a while. I dont see getting much quieter than that.

Some day...
its an 8.2 sipper (not a 2 stroke), they are not loud at all, PLUS add says it comes with pulpit and tower

I know it says tower and pulpit but i dont see any of the connections for a pulpit. Was wondering if that was true when i saw it.

36 nb if you want a bigger boat: they are proven too.

I have heard nb's are not good stick boats. The guy I bought my nb from was selling it to build a holland 32 to use as a stick boat. He had a tower put on the nb but said the boat made to much commotion going through the water. I ended up selling the tower to him for the holland. I've never done any harpooning though so take it for what it's worth. He did tell me the 32 holland was probably the best stick boat out there. He was doing one with a v drive and a 300ish cummins.

Wasn't there a Duffy with a pair of four stroke outboards? I would think that would be quiet.

A V-drive? Blasphemy; He might be shunned.
