Hi there , new on here as a member, been reading as a guest for a while. I was wondering if anyone had any input on the zf wheels? Comparable to a DQX? Looking at a 30" 4 blade that shows a blade area of .80 Is that comparable to a Dqx? Thanks!

The DQX blade area is .81 for 30 wheel so there really is little difference. Blade area is not free the larger the blade area the less pitch or diameter you can use comes into play. If your current wheel is good and you are turning all of the RPMs you will gain little if nothing with a ZF or DQX wheel.
However if your set on a new wheel I would go with the DQX in 1 less pitch than your current wheel, providing that your current wheel is giving you all of your RPMs.
Lastly before you do anything photo tach your boat and make sure you are getting your RPMs.
